COACHES
It’s your responsibility to select the best team you can to win in the Semis and Finals. Whilst it’s nice to play everyone equally this may not be possible for various reasons:
positions played, opponent matchups (height, speed differences) commitment to training etc.
It is your choice. IF YOU NEED ADVICE CONTACT VIRGINIA BOWER OUR COACHING CO-ORDINATOR.
Be prepared on game day - check your bibs and ball etc are ready. Read the Fixtures Information on the RNA website (www.randwicknetball.org) and make sure you and your players know the rules for:
borrowing players, injury stoppages, substituting players, blood rule, extra time for drawn games etc.
MANAGERS
You will be advised of the court No and time. Details will also be on our website.
Note playing time sometimes differ slightly to usual Saturday times.
The scorecards will be brought to the court by the umpires. WINNING TEAM MUST TAKE SCORE CARD TO CONTROL BUILDING.
DO NOT PAY THE UMPIRE - under the neutral umpire system, our club umpires will be umpiring other club’s.
Umpires are all paid by our club at the conclusion of the finals.
Be prepared:
· Bring a stop watch or timer for any injury stoppages. You must time any stoppages and advise umpires.
· The extra time from stoppages is added on at the end of the final quarter and play continues on after the final bell without stopping.
Make sure the players know if they have extra time so they are prepared to play on without stopping.
If the game is drawn umpires will restart game with a centre pass and 2 halves of extra time are played.
· Stand with the scorer from the other team at mid courtside to score together.
· Make sure the players are in correct uniform - umpires are strict about uniform and safety codes.
· Have your First Aid handy so you don’t lose important time during the game.
